GENERAL ENQUIRY SERVICES
The 15-minute General Inquiry Call with SENSORYLAND is provided for informational and educational purposes only. During this call, we discuss your child’s developmental or occupational concerns and explain how SENSORYLAND can support families. This call does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, therapy, or parent coaching and is not a substitute for evaluation or treatment by a licensed healthcare professional. If your child requires evaluation, diagnosis, or therapeutic intervention, you will be advised to consult a qualified healthcare provider or enroll in SENSORYLAND’s occupational therapy membership services, where appropriate. Any personal information shared during the call will be kept confidential and used solely to provide information about SENSORYLAND services. By participating, you acknowledge and understand these terms.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES
Occupational therapy (OT) services are offered on a membership basis, which may include parent coaching, OT support via phone, and telehealth sessions. These services are provided by a licensed occupational therapist in accordance with applicable state laws and regulations and may be subject to HIPAA compliance and are delivered via secure, encrypted platforms (e.g., SimplePractice) to protect client confidentiality. Before starting services, clients must complete all required intake paperwork and informed consent forms.
OT services offered through SENSORYLAND are limited to the scope of occupational therapy as defined by relevant licensing boards and state laws. Services are intended to support functional development and participation in daily activities and are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or emergency care.
SENSORYLAND may facilitate access to occupational therapy services, including through third-party clinicians or providers. Any OT services rendered by a third party are solely the responsibility of that provider, and SENSORYLAND makes no guarantees regarding the qualifications, conduct, or outcomes of services delivered by third-party professionals. SENSORYLAND is not liable for any injury, dissatisfaction, or adverse outcome resulting from third-party services, advice, or interventions.
Due to the nature of telehealth services, clients acknowledge and accept potential risks such as technology failures, interruptions in care, and limitations in non-verbal communication. Clients are responsible for ensuring they are in a private, safe, and distraction-free environment during each session, including securing any pets, siblings, or hazards that could interfere with participation.
By using occupational therapy services through SENSORYLAND, you agree to hold SENSORYLAND and its representatives harmless from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from participation in therapy services, including but not limited to therapeutic recommendations, treatment outcomes, or miscommunications. It is the client’s responsibility to follow through on strategies, attend sessions consistently, and provide accurate, up-to-date information relevant to care.
DISCLAIMERS
While we strive to provide helpful and high-quality resources, individual outcomes may vary. All content shared via email or social media (e.g. Instagram, Facebook) is intended for informational purposes ONLY and should NOT be taken as medical or professional advice. SENSORYLAND is not affiliated with or responsible for the content of any third-party research articles shared. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider or licensed therapist for personalized treatment or support.
PAYMENT AND REFUNDS
All payments must be made at the time of purchase or service booking unless otherwise specified (e.g., billing through insurance). Due to the nature of our digital information products, all digital sales are final unless otherwise stated.
General Inquiry Service
Only one free 15-minute call per household/child is allowed. Multiple sign-ups by the same person, including the use of different email addresses or false information, are not permitted. We reserve the right to cancel or deny additional free consultations at our discretion if we determine that this policy has been violated.
Our consultations are intended to provide general guidance, education, and support. Any recommendations discussed during consultations are based on our expertise, but should not replace individualized care from a licensed healthcare provider. It is the client's responsibility to decide what works best for your situation and seek appropriate medical, therapeutic, or other professional advice before implementing any recommendations. We are not responsible for any outcomes from the information shared during our consultations. By using our services, you understand and agree to these terms.
We, SENSORYLAND, reserve the right to refuse service to any individual at our discretion. This may include, but is not limited to, cases where services requested fall outside the professional's scope of practice, conflicts with our policies, or other circumstances that prevent us from providing appropriate care. Additionally, we do not tolerate abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior toward our staff, and we reserve the right to deny or terminate services if such conduct occurs. Our decision to refuse is final and made in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards.
Membership Services
Membership fees are billed according to the plan selected at enrollment. Fees are non-refundable once the membership period begins, except as described below.
-
If a session has not yet been scheduled, clients may request a full refund within 24 hours of the start of the membership period.
-
Memberships may otherwise be canceled at any time; however, payments already processed for the current month are non-refundable.
Missed sessions or interruptions in telehealth access—including those due to internet connection issues, device malfunctions, or other technical difficulties—do not entitle clients to refunds or credits. Rescheduling may be accommodated at our discretion. It is the client’s responsibility to request any rescheduling or report access issues by emailing sensorylandllc@gmail.com or submitting a request through the website. All requests must be reviewed and approved by SENSORYLAND before any changes are confirmed.
Cancellations for scheduled sessions must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting the session. Unused sessions do not roll over to the next month.
Physical Products
Refund or replacement requests for physical products must be submitted within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for a full refund, excluding shipping costs. No exceptions.
Once the returned product is received, refunds will be processed to the original payment method (credit card or Venmo only).
If the original payment was made via bank transfer, a gift certificate in the same amount will be issued instead. Gift certificates are valid for one year from the date of issue.
PRIVACY
The Customer’s privacy is very important to us. Please refer to our [Privacy Policy Link] for how we collect, use, and protect your information.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
SENSORYLAND is not liable for any direct or indirect damages or losses resulting from the use or misuse of our products or services. For any medical or therapeutic concerns, please consult with your healthcare provider.
MODIFICATIONS
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
